Gaw the Great

I have always known that Gaw is a hell of a guitar player. Back in the day, Moi and I used to sneak in Artist Dais (the second one in Manros Plaza) just to watch him play those classic rock licks for this band called Eve’s Garden. Yes, even in college, he was that good already. Well, imagine my utter delight when he became the guitar player for Hastang.

And now I’ve got confirmation of his fret greatness — Gaw has been invited to play in the upcoming 1st Cebu Guitar Festival to be held on November 22 to 24, 2007 at The Outpost in Nivel Hills.

According to the event press kit, the festival “is dedicated to the many subtleties, varying styles and techniques attributed to the guitar, making it one of the world’s most versatile and influential musical instruments … everything from bluegrass to blues, jazz to rock, folk to acoustic finger style and everything else in between will be featured … as well as performances form notable Cebu guitarists and artists.”

From the rest of the band, we are very proud of our incendiary guitar player. Way to go, Gaw.

guile loves his girlfriend, adores (er, adored) Michael Jackson, and wants "to be complete". When he's not playing bass for Hastang, he creates thingamajigs for icomm and writes gibberish in his not-so-secret diary.
